Taper  SH8262 Penta Hollow Length & Configuration  8'2" Two Piece; Single Tip     Line Weight  6 Seat  Struble DLSB D2 Burl Madrone Spacer Grip  FW Ferrules  CSE SDT Overwrapped Antique Gold Guides  Snake Bronze w/ Agate Wraps  Clear w/ antique gold highlights Price  $500 Description  This rod is a demo rod that I fished a dozen times or so.  It is a hollow built penta based on my SH taper that I designed as a 7wt for fishing large trout and light salmon but came out just a little lighter than I had expected so I have it listed as a 6wt.  I like it in close with a 7wt but for most circumstances, especially longer casts, a 6wt suits it perfectly.  The rod is medium flamed.  It is on the faster side of medium-fast and has a ton of reserve power yet is still smooth and roll casts very nicely.  I've landed trout, dollies and a few red salmon on this rod and it is still straight and true. This rod shows the usual minor scuffs in the varnish and soiled grip from use but is in excellent condition.  Comes with sock and tube.  Smudges on the agate in the third photo is dust and Mucilin.  It wiped right off after the photo shoot. I would also be happy to clean up the varnish and give it a thin overcoat which would bring it back to new condition again.  If this is something you would like, just let me know.  It will delay the ship date a few days of course.
