Now available for sale is a hollow
built 7'6" 4wt 2 piece rod based off
of my medium-fast progressive LL
taper. A very light in hand
rod with a smooth progressive feel
overall with some slight lightening
in the tip for quicker line turnover
and vibration dampening.
This rod would normally sell for
$1700 but I have it listed at $500
off due to there being some cosmetic
blemishes on one strip of the butt
section and a couple very light blems on
one tip (all of the blems on the rod
can be seen in the lowermost
high-res photo
below). The story
is: I was making another rod
from a culm that was probably one of
the best I'd ever seen for a quad.
It was dense, straight, had even,
flat nodes with great spacing and a
lovely metallic timbre. After
making one rod from the culm for a
preorder customer I had just enough
strips left to make a second but a
few of the strips had the above
mentioned blemishes. As there
wasn't enough cane left to pick and
choose, and I didn't want to mix
strips from another culm, I decided
to make the rod with the blems.
So, if you are like me and don't
mind a few cosmetic dark spots on
your rod, and want a great deal on a
top of the line hollow quad, snap
this rod up!
Includes sock and aluminum rod tube.
